Carl Hansen & Søn is a renowned manufacturing company behind many classic pieces of furniture by leading figures of Danish design. Inspired by the brands slogan "Passionate Craftmanship", we have used the textural sound of a felt piano as a recurring element in their sonic branding to evoke a timeless sense of calm and prescence.
This film showcases the EK61 lamp designed by Esben Klint in settings designed to convey a childlike sense of wonder. While supporting this narrative with a cinematic score, we also wanted highlighted the lamps' prescence in the soundtrack. This was achieved with a series of bespoke tonal sound effects that syncs tightly with the visuals while adding harmonious depth to the music.
