This award-winning giant vending machine was brought to life when Coca-Cola wanted to promote the Zero Sugar to the Gen Z audience by creating an app in which users could answer the simple question: “Best Coke Ever?”. The yes/no votes, represented visually as white and red balls, were then sorted in a Rube Goldberg machine.
Inspired by retro arcade games and pinball machines, the soundtrack is fun, wacky and playful with emphasis on synchronicity between the energetic music and numerous sound effects. Another objective was to reflect the theme of ambiguity, which was done by alternating between major and minor tonalities, ascending/descending gestures and dual “yes/no” versions of specific sound effects.
